Julie & Frances

Julie discovered yoga in 2009 during a difficult time in her life—and the practice became a path toward compassion, clarity, and renewed joy. Inspired by her own transformation, she began teaching in 2015, and in 2022, became the owner of Akasha: a space dedicated to helping others reconnect to their essence and step into their fullest potential.

Alongside teaching, Julie curates immersive retreats that weave together yoga, meditation, and mindfulness in beautiful, nourishing settings. Her mission is to hold space for growth and transformation—just as yoga has done for her.

Frances is a lifelong mover whose journey began with dance and competitive Sport Aerobics, eventually leading her to yoga in 2006. She has since trained extensively in Hatha Vinyasa, Jivamukti, Sanskrit, and Physiyoga, and spent over a decade mentoring and teaching in teacher training programs.

Known for blending biomechanics, philosophy, and the subtle aspects of practice, Frances teaches with depth, precision, and heart. Her classes are shaped by a deep respect for lineage, language, and the healing potential of mindful movement.
